ButterflyMX’s smart intercom directory has a touchscreen display, meaning you can update it at any time. Because of this, you can choose what name you want associated with your unit on the intercom.
Here are a few of the instances in which you might want to change your display name:
- The official name on your lease is Kaitlyn, but anyone who would be visiting you knows you as Katie
- You’re a private person and only want your first name and last name initial displayed
- You just got married and changed your name
How to change how your name appears on the ButterflyMX intercom directory:
Open up the ButterflyMX app on your smartphone.
Press ‘Account’ in the bottom right corner.
Click on your name at the top of the Account page.
Edit your name to what you’d like to appear when someone searches for you or your unit on the directory and hit ‘Save’.
The name you enter is what will now appear on the intercom when someone searches for you or your unit – this can be changed at any time.
