We built our smart intercom with you in mind. Tenants get keyless entry, two-way video calling, and managed access for service providers such as housecleaning or dog walkers. Property managers get photo-, date-, and time-stamped logs of door entries as well as integrations with PMS's including Yardi, Entrata, MRI, and Realpage for simple tenant management. And owners get an improved resident and property management experience without the need for in-unit hardware or additional wiring.

According to market research company Gfk, more than half of all U.S. consumers are now using smart home/IoT (Internet of Things) connected devices to control or automate functions such as entry, temperature and lighting. But the multifamily industry has been much slower to adopt this tech, reluctant to make the investment when there's no way to predict their ROI.
That's finally beginning to change, at least when it comes to building new apartments. "We're starting to see many of our owners trying new things; they dabble a little bit in the latest and greatest, like smart locks or smart thermostats," said Sherry Freitas, Greystar's Managing Director, real estate strategic service. But adding this technology piecemeal isn't the best approach. "We find that creates a broken system; smart technology should provide a good experience from the beginning to the end."
