This month, we spotlight Maggie Knott, a Junior Marketing Graphic Designer who joined as an intern and has worked her way up to a Junior Graphic Designer on the Marketing team. She tells us all about her favorite accomplishments at ButterflyMX, plus the perks of working from home with her pet cat, Rocky!

In a few sentences, tell us about what you do here at ButterflyMX.
As a marketing graphic designer, I work with the Design and Marketing teams to make sure ButterflyMX has a concise and memorable visual brand.
I design printed collateral, video content, materials to support our booth at conferences, and digital graphics & illustrations for our website & social media — and anywhere else our company is seen!
What’s your favorite part about working at ButterflyMX?
Having the opportunity to work on so many different creative projects with people from all across ButterflyMX, as well as outside the company!
What’s the most significant thing you’ve learned while working here?
How important it is to be proactive with clear communication so information can flow effectively — creating an environment where I can work together with my team members successfully and deliver my best work!
What’s your proudest accomplishment so far during your time at ButterflyMX?
Working with the Marketing team on the release of the next generation version of ButterflyMX’s intercom. Collaborating with Design team members on promotional material to announce such an important moment for the company and for the proptech industry made me very proud!
Tell us about your favorite day/event at ButterflyMX. What makes it so special/memorable?
My favorite days at ButterflyMX would be when I have the chance to meet with other team members during our onsite gatherings. It’s great to spend time in person with coworkers!
What has been the best part about working remotely? The most challenging?
I have more time to be around my cat Rocky – which can also be a bit of a challenge at the same time, especially when he decides to participate in online work meetings 🙂

Fun facts about Maggie
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Somewhere in southern California where I grew up — I love the beach, the landscape, and the climate there! But I’m also very happy living in New York right now, so it’s really a tough choice!
Do you have a secret talent (*cough* superpower) you want people to know about?
Sometimes I think I can telepathically communicate with my cat…
What is your favorite thing to do after work or on the weekends?
I like to discover new creative hobbies, lately I’ve picked up portrait drawing!
