Why am I getting calls from ButterflyMX?

You’re getting calls from ButterflyMX because your building has installed the ButterflyMX video intercom system. When you have a visitor or delivery person at your building, they use the video intercom installed at the entrance of your property to call you and request building access.

To grant access to your visitor or delivery, you’ll simply pick up the call and press ‘9’ to open the door or gate. Additionally, you can download the ButterflyMX mobile app to answer calls and get many more features.

Why you should download the ButterflyMX app

When you get a call from a visitor or delivery and dial ‘9’ to grant access, you’re missing out on one of the best features of the ButterflyMX video intercom: the mobile app.

With ButterflyMX, you can see who is at the door before granting access. And when you download the ButterflyMX mobile app, you can do just that. When you receive a video call from your visitor, you can answer the call, visually verify their identity, and press the ‘open door’ button in the mobile app to open the door or gate.

In addition to receiving video calls, there are many other features that you can start taking advantage of once you download the ButterflyMX mobile app,

Some of the features include:

  • Swipe to open the door or gate from anywhere in the world
  • Review all door release logs with a time-and date-stamped photo
  • Issue virtual keys to friends, family, and visitors for managed access that can be revoked at any time
  • Connect your Alexa- or Siri-enabled device to unlock the door or gate with your voice

How to register for ButterflyMX and get the mobile app

Once you’ve registered for ButterflyMX, you can download the mobile app through the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Then sign into the mobile app and start taking advantage of all of the features ButterflyMX has to offer.
