Built-in WiFi for easy installation
The newest iteration of our smart video intercoms feature built-in WiFi. So, any internet-related installation and connectivity challenges are eliminated. By opting for our new intercoms with 5GHz WiFi, properties with difficult installations can easily install this modern access control solution — without the added cost of running cabling.
Wide-angle camera for enhanced security
Our new intercoms have a wide-angle camera with a 156º field-of-view that captures all activity at your property’s front door, gate, or garage. So, no matter if a visitor is standing out of view or someone suspicious is intentionally avoiding the camera, you have a crystal clear video of your visitor before providing property access.
Like all of our access control products, our new video intercoms store photos of all entry events in a date- and time-stamped audit log available through the ButterflyMX OS. So, your property staff and residents can view a history of all property events from the last 365 days.

RFID for fob and keycard access
ButterflyMX’s mission is to make property access simple. But smartphones aren’t a foolproof solution — imagine a tenant’s phone is misplaced or the battery dies. That’s why the next-generation ButterflyMX intercoms employ RFID (radio frequency identification).
By designing our new intercoms to have RFID technology in the device, our intercom systems support key cards and fobs as an additional credential option. So, your tenants can gain access with key cards, fobs, mobile phones, and PIN codes, rather than a single credential.
Cast aluminum for improved durability
Like our previous models, our new intercoms are IP65 outdoor-rated to withstand rain, snow, dust, and cleaning agents. The newest design is vandal-resistant and can withstand temperatures between -40ºF to +140 ºF (-40ºC to +60 ºC) thanks to its hardened aluminum housing and weatherized casing.
Ultra bright LED display for visibility day or night
Our new intercom systems have an astonishing 1,500 nits of brightness, making for a head-turning experience at your property’s entryway that’s hard to miss. And once users approach the video intercom, the intuitive touchscreen and user interface make it easy for them to request property access and be on their way.
Backward compatibility for fast upgrades
Existing ButterflyMX customers can easily upgrade their current intercom system while keeping the existing wiring. So, all of our 10,000-plus customers can easily upgrade to the new intercom without running new cables or dealing with complicated wiring. Further, because the installation is so quick and easy, your property operations won’t be disturbed during the installation process.
